Attached are the details of the ringing of an avocet I noted at Gibraltar Point last week Thank you for taking the time to report to us details of a bird ring you found. Information about this bird and its movements is given below. Ringing Scheme: London Ring Number: EW43232 Species of bird: Avocet (Recurvirostra avosetta) This bird was ringed by Landguard Ringing Group as age nestling, sex unknown on 18-Jun-2011 15:00:00 at Orfordness, Suffolk, UK OS Map reference TM4549 accuracy 0, co-ordinates 52deg 5min N 1deg 34min E accuracy 2. Colour Marks right below knee M Colour Marks left above knee Y,B Colour Marks right above knee R,N It was found on 08-Mar-2014 time unknown at Frampton Marsh, Lincolnshire, UK OS Map reference TF3538 accuracy 0, co-ordinates 52deg 55min N 0deg 0min W accuracy 0. Finding condition: Sight record by non-ringer Finding circumstances: Identified by Colour Ring(s) Extra Information: Identified from legring(s) It was found 994 days after it was ringed, 141 km from the ringing site, direction NW. |
