A fellow ringer, Richard Broughton has been researching Marsh T*ts and has found that they have a small light patch at the base of the mandible which contrasts with the rest of it. As an identification feature, this is not apparent in Willows which I catch. He would like to know if ringers who catch Willows could examine them closely to see if there is any sign of a light patch on the mandible. I will forward the details to him if you reply to me by private message. He requires ring number, age and 6 figure map reference if possible. Thanks.
