Yesterday received a report from the BTO about a Hobby chick that we ringed last year in the nest at a site in the Lincolnshire Fens. Unfortunately it was found dead this July before it had reached maturity. However, surprisingly, it was found in Germany. There have only been about ten British-ringed Hobbies recovered abroad.
