Whilst birding early this morning along the bridleway between reserve and North pit, my eye got drawn down from my scope to something moving in front of me. Within 6 ft, a fox had to divert around my scope and me and never broke eye contact as well as never quickening its pace - quite brawn as if to say " what the 'ell you doing in the middle of the path - I haved to walk around you now!"
No fear I tell ya!
Getting back in the car I think I just caught a glimpse of a mink crossing the landfill site access road. Jet black, too big for Stoat or Weasel.
Thanks
