On 7th May at Kates Bridge, near Bourne, I counted over 20 hares in one small bare field with light weed growth. The hares were all paired up and showed no agressive behaviour to each other. The surrounding fields of wheat and grass were sopping wet after overnight rain and I suppose they were just looking for a field to dry out in. Hugh Dorrington |
