One was at Pye's Hall this morning. Hardly typical habitat. Anyone seen them there before?

just read about the grey squirrel at pyes.i was at the grainthorpe sluice and watched one run out to sea along the seaward north side of the sluice,to about 120 metres out, swim across the halfway out stream, and back up to the sluice area again, much to my jack russells great delight ,although even with much encouragement from me,he didnt catch it.
it went up and into the new barn owl box on the back of the pump room.
my learned friend ( fiend ) byron said it would have been ejected from the family and looking for new territory.

Grey squirrels have been recorded for at least ten years around the M oD base at Donna Nook and presumed breeding. John.
