Had the trap out last night for a measly 2 hours due to the heavy rain which had me dashing about the garden like a headless chicken trying to get the gear into the shed,this is what i recorded: Brown-apple Moth - 2 Brimstone Moth - 12 Common-marbled Carpet - 1 Green Carpet - 2 Straw Dot - 5 Small Magpie - 5 Silver-ground Carpet - 4 Tawny-marbled Minor - 2 White Ermine - 1 Buff Ermine - 1 Flame Shoulder - 1 Dusky Brocade - 1 Pale Tussock - 1 Grey/Dark Dagger - 1 The Flame - 4 Agapeta Zoegana - 1 Oak-tree Pug - 1 Common Pug - 2 Grey Pug - 1 Bee Moth - 2 Heart and Dart - 6 Bright line-brown Eye - 1 Marbled Minor - 2 Beautiful-golden Y - 2 Phylctaenia coronata - 1 Large-yellow Underwing - 2 Plain-golden Y - 1 Clepsis consimilana - 1 Clouded Drab - 1 Dipleurina lacustrata - 1 Not a bad effort with 7 new species for the garden. Another effort with the trap last night resulted in the following species being recorded: Rhomboid Tortrix - 2 Brimstone - 11 Snout - 2 Willow Beauty - 2 Common Swift - 3 Silver-ground Carpet - 3 Small-dusty Wave - 2 Common-white Wave - 1 Ghost Moth - 1 male Common-marbled Carpet - 1 Light-brown Apple Moth - 2 Middle-barred Minor - 1 Green Pug - 1 Heart and Dart - 5 Small Magpie - 1 Flame Shoulder - 3 Buff Ermine - 1 Goldspot - 1 Straw Dot - 2 Bee Moth - 2 Figure of Eighty - 1 Tawny-marbled Minor - 1 Rivulet - 1 Small-angle Shades - 1 Broad-barred White - 2 Bright-line brown-eye - 2 Marbled Minor - 3 Setacous-hebrew Character - 1 Plain-golden Y - 2 Grey Pug - 1 Dark Brocade - 1 Common Carpet - 2 Grey/Dark Dagger - 1 Uncertain - 1 Riband Wave - 2 Shoulder-striped Wainscot - 1 Clouded Silver - 1 Ingrailed Clay - 1 Mottled Pug - 1 Regards Steve,with Dave Wright. |

A decent nights trapping last night,with 39 species being caught,the following is what i recorded: Micro moths: Small Magpie - 4 Brown-house Moth - 2 Light-brown Apple Moth - 5 Agapeta zoegana - 3 Eudonia mercurella - 1 Stenoptilia bipunctidactyla - 1 Bramble-shoot Moth - 1 Dark-fruit Tree Tortrix - 1 Timothy Tortrix - 1 Udea olivalis - 1 Eucosna cana - 2 Macro Moths: Mottled Pug - 3 Brimstone Moth - 12 Flame Shoulder - 3 Tawny-marbled Minor - 5 Large-yellow Underwing - 1 Yellow Shell - 1 Grey Pug - 2 Riband Wave - 2 Straw Dot - 6 Uncertain - 2 Clouded Silver - 1 Flame - 8 Buff Arches - 3 Large-elephant Hawkmoth - 3 Spectacle - 2 Drinker Moth - 2 Silver-ground Carpet - 1 Green Pug - 1 Middle-barred Minor - 7 Snout - 1 Setacous-hebrew Character - 3 Common Wainscot - 1 Light Emerald - 1 Peppared Moth - 1 Goldspot - 1 Marbled Minor - 1 Mottled Beauty - 1 Regards Steve |
