26 June 2009 Marton. Moth-trapping overnight in back garden in near perfect conditions (15 degrees minimum, light wind, overcast and dry) produced about 45 species including: Privet Hawk 1 Elephant Hawk 1 Grey/Dark Dagger 2 Barred Straw 3 Common Footman 1 Garden Pebble 2 Buff-tip 1 Bright-line Brown-eye 1 Light Emerald 1 Clouded Silver 1 Fan-foot 1 Foxglove Pug 1 Pale Prominent 1 Poplar Grey 1 Straw Dot 1 Light Arches 1 Common Marbled Carpet 1 Dark Arches 29 Riband Wave 8 Peppered Moth 5 Large Yellow Underwing 5 Marbled Minor type 9 Flame 9 Flame Shoulder 5 Uncertain 5 Heart and Dart 5
Something like 145 species for the garden this year so far (including micros). Cheers Brian
