National Moth Night, 18th & 19th September

National Moth Night (NMN), founded by Atropos and now run jointly with Butterfly Conservation, is all inclusive and open to anyone to take part, both expert and beginner alike. You can do this in your own garden or further afield or at public events around the country. Results are pooled into Britain’s largest survey of what species are on the wing. This year, the organisers are particularly keen for people to keep an eye out for colour marked moths from various designated sites, in the hope to learn more about moth migration.

The LNU have a field meeting in Humberston on Sat 19th to coincide with National Moth Night weekend. See LNU website for details. More people the merrier. Bring along your moth trap if you have one.
Cheers
Brian
