Post subject:  Excellent mothing weekend

Had a couple of good moth nights here at Marton (1 and 2 Sept) with overe 35 macro species recorded including 3 dark sword grass, rush veneer and feathered gothic.
Also found a privet hawk-moth caterpiller munching on our lilac bush.

Red underwing also found today down at the Trent Port site
Cheers

More migrant species caught on the 5th in the garden here at Marton included:
Bordered Straw. This was a site first and I've put photo in album (if anyone wants to turn it into Scarce Bordered Straw would be pleased!).
Dark sword-grass
Rush Veneer
masses of silver Ys

Also had beautiful china-mark which certainly lives up to it's name.

Cheers
Brian
