The Moth Night was a great success with dozens of moths set out in labelled jars on tables in the Education Centre.
My visit began well in the Car Park - a White Admiral flew across in front of me and an even 'rarer' butterfly (these days) a Small Tortoiseshell was nectaring nearby.
The Walk began at 11.00 and about 50 enthusiasts set off from the Education Centre, led by Peter Cawdell, Derek Fox and Dave Wright - all equipped with the essential nets and display jars.
At least half a dozen White Admirals were seen, plus incl. the 3 Skippers, Purple Hairstreaks, Commas, Ringlets, Gatekeepers, Meadow Browns, etc.
Refreshments were available at the Centre as people arrived back from the walk.
The AGM began at 3.00pm.
All in all, a successful event.....and the weather stayed fine for the Walk.
