Stuart,
Don't write off Chambers as an "introduction" site yet.
One butterfly I omitted (for "introduction" reasons) from my 30/06 Chambers Wood list was a probable Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary!
I had good views of this butterfly along the Main Track to Fiveways late am in bright sunshine. It flew past me and settled twice but unfortunately only gave me upperside views (incl. through binoculars). An underside view would have clinched the id. and separated it from PBF (but too late, surely, for that species on 30 June). Having been watching SPBF in some numbers in Scotland as recently as 13 June, I was amazed at first and then remembered the Chambers Wood "intros"!
Regards,
Freddy
PS What next? A visit from the Queen of Spain?
