A fine display of butterflies sadly not in Lincolnshire but Fermyn Wood in Northamptonshire.

White Admiral
Purple Emperor
White Letter Hairstreak
Speckled Wood
Comma
Painted Lady
Red Admiral
Large Skipper
etc.

Go on, it's not far! You can park at TL965859. That should read SP965859!!

Regards,

Colin and Sheila

Sounds very tempting Colin and Sheila, although I would recommend heading to SP965859 unless you want to pay a visit to Norfolk :D

Made a trip to this excellent woodland complex yesterday with Colin Pumfrett, Dean and Papa Eades and disapointingly we didn't have any Emp's on the deck due to the dodgy weather, but we did manage to see at least 10 individuals up in the canopy sparring etc.Other species recorded where at least 10 White Admiral,2 Hummingbird Hawkmoth,7 Brown Hawker and 1 Southern Hawker.

Regards

Steve.
