Hi Colin, A very comprehensive list of species yesterday (Monday). Your note of a Silver-washed Fritillary seen at Chambers Farm Wood on 16/17 July is interesting. Most unlikely to be a genuine Lincolnshire butterfly, of course, but just a genuine "release". Coincidentally, Silver-washed Fritillaries are being recorded these days at Eaton Wood near Retford, just across the border in Nottinghamshire, along with lots of Silver-studded Blues at Lindrick Common, Worksop.........both sites being in the very centre of traditional Midlands 'release country'.
Regards,
Freddy
