Crowle Moor NNR (Northern Section)

Large Heath - 53
Meadow Brown - 37
Ringlet - 125
Large Skipper - 179 (a staggering total and surely the best site in the county for this species)
Red Admiral - 1
Small Tortoiseshell - 3
Comma - 1
Brimstone - 1
Green-veined White - 4
Speckled Wood - 2

We also ventured on to the Thorne side for a few hours where there were similar numbers and species, with the addition of Small Skipper, Common Blue and Small White.

Regards

Dave with Steve Routledge and Adi Royle
