Despite an empty moth trap this morning the weather was too good not to go butterflying. Visited Kikby Pits, Southrey Wood, Snakeholme Pit, Chambers and Greetwell Hollow. Reasonable numbers of Orange Tip and several Brimstone, GV White, Peacock and Small Copper. No Dingy or Marsh Frit and haven't seen a Speckled Wood yet this year. Hugh |
