A fabulous number of butterflies (never seen so many) Meadow Brown & Ringlet - 100s Small Skipper - double figure numbers Speckled Wood - 3 or 4 Gatekeeper - 1 Tortoiseshell - 1 5 Spotted Burnet Moth? (not sure of correct species) but there were scores - 50 in a small area feeding on thistles. Several Whites but not able to ID correct species James |
