I walked around BBH this afternoon, checking the numerous Buddleias in front gardens. I came across just one Painted Lady (my first in BBH this year), large numbers of Peacocks ( they've had an excellent emergence) and Whites; plus a few Gatekeepers, Commas, Meadow Browns and Small Tortoiseshells. Still no Red Admiral or Small Copper here, as seen in previous years. Freddy |

Painted Lady on lavender in my garden this morning and two small coppers alighted on my golf ball at Market Rasen yesterday! I have never seen so many whites before - they're everywhere. |

There's been a ' super emergence ' of Peacocks and all 3 Whites this summer. I'm pleased not to have to worry about a cabbage-patch, the 2 Cabbage Whites being so numerous. Freddy |
