Must have been close to 50 dark-green fritillaries at Roberts' Field LWT reserve this afternoon. Only about 7 in the southern field but counted c40 in the northern field - probably some double counting of course but from a single 360 degree spot count had 19 in sight at one time. Plus meadow browns, ringlets etc. And lots of pyramidal orchids, some clustered bellflower and knapweed broomrape etc. Vin |
