White-letter Hairstreak - 5 this morning at 08.10 over a large patch of Elm near the entrance to the wood. Little else on the wing at this time of day, apart from 2 Speckled Woods and a Red Admiral. Regards Dave |

Graham The entrance to Long Strip Wood can be found along Laporte Road near the eastern entrance to Immingham Dock. The best area for White-letter Hairstreaks is at approximately TA 211 153, although any patch of Elm can produce them, especially when the females are egg-laying. Dave |
