Seems to have been a good migration of Painted Ladies during the month of July. Several have taken up residence on Woodland Trust site near Grantham feeding on thistles. No doubt they will be laying eggs also.

One in my Market Rasen garden this morning nectaring on Lavendar.

A record count of 23 Painted Ladies in our garden at Grasby today.
6 were on one lavender plant and the rest on buddleas. Also 18 Peacock & 2 Red Admirals but very few Small Torts. One I did see was egg laying on young nettles in our paddock.
