Chambers Farm Wood - 1200-2.40 - Sunny and hot
Purple Hairstreak
Painted Lady - just one
Peacock
Brimstone - female
Brown Argus
Small Skipper
Gatekeeper
Ringlet
Meadow Brown
Speckled Wood
Small White
Green-veined White
(One Brown Hairstreak, female, seen am but not by me)

Southrey Wood - 3.00 - 4.00 pm - Sunny and hot
plus
Holly Blue
Large White
(and,again,just one Painted Lady)
Total - 14 species - with Peacock being the most numerous.

Hi Freddy

We must have passed you at some time during afternoon. We were in the wood from 12:30 to 15:30 and saw much the same as you including:
Comma 3
Brimstone 9
Small Tortoiseshell 1
Purple Hairstreak 2
Small Copper 1
Ringlet 1
White Admiral 4
Painted lady 2 very fresh!
Brown Argus 8

We also met a couple who had seen a Brown hairstreak a few minutes before we met them!
