It continues to be an appalling year for Butterflies but grassland species now starting to appear:
Todays transect produced:
Small Tortoiseshell - 2
Speckled Wood - 1
Meadow Brown - 80
Small Heath - 2
Ringlet - 76
Essex Skipper - 4

Its similar at Saltfleetby N N R no suprise after the apalling summer of 2007
our transect on 0107 , small skip, 31 large skip 6, holly blue1, meadow brown 18, small heath 15, ringlet 36. John.
