On what was probably the warmest day of 2009 so far, my first butterflies of the year were seen at the following sites: Horncastle Brimstone - 1 (male) flying along the roadside verge, on the southern outskirts of town. Kirkby Moor NR Brimstone - 3 (males) Comma - 1 Peacock - 1 Snipe Dales CP Comma - 4 Regards Dave |
