While visiting Crowle Moor last Saturday,i came across 3 spikes of what i believe to be Dune Helleborines, does anyone know who to send this significant record to and also have a look at the photo's i took.

Hi Steve, I may be wrong but iam sure that there was a small colony at Crowle Moor a few years back but I understood that they had not come up for many years. It was suspected that they were brought in when the railway line was installed but again I may be wrong. All the best
Mark

Hi Brian,

Will do,if they are Dune's,it is 20 years since they have flowered at Crowle,so not a bad find at all!.

Regards

Steve.

It now seems, thanks to Mr Hopwood's expert plant identification skills, that these are most probably Broad-leaved Helleborine's.At least i got the family right, pretty good for me :) ,thanks again Graham,i will check them again when they are in full flower.

Regards

Steve
