Freddy,
I have not been to Fairburn Ings since the major road modifications in the Ferrybridge area. What is the best way to access the village & reserve now ?

Roy.

What ever you do, do NOT take the A1 m. It could cost you 60 miles and thats only to get you back home.

Hi,Roy
Just to confirm our earlier telephone conversation and to assist others:

Driving from the South on the A1:
At Junction 40 - go straight on towards Ferrybridge Services (bypass the Services),picking up the signs for the A162 to Brotherton (bypass the town) - immediately fork left onto the A1246 to Fairburn and then follow the signs for Fairburn Ings.

Driving from the East on the M62:
At Junction 33 - follow signs for the Ferrybridge Services
- continue as per the A1 directions above.

Regards,

Freddy
