From Butterflies and larger Moths Lincolnshire 1977. a migrant species normally found coming to light in the autumn, around the coast to the south of the county. it was first recorded for the L.N.U at Tothill wood august 1976, and it turned up at Gib 30th august 1976. its status is Nb which means nationally scarce, uncommon in uk and thought to occur in between 31 and 100 km squares of the national grid. Skinners moths... Resident and suspected migrant, single brooded flying in September and early October, larva may to august on variety of trees incl, Birch, Alder, Oak, Sycamore, Hazel.
