My annual juvenile starling ringing effort for June/July to date has resulted in just over 200 birds ringed and still catching a few each day, especially early mornings. As in previous years -last 3 years - all birds caught in one single funnel walk-in baited trap. Hope this will be of interest to Lincolnshire ringers.

Weel done! No matter what I do to encourage them, I never manage to ring more than a dozen Starlings in my Market Rasen garden annually. There are no large trees nearby and I think that is a prerequisite for attracting birds to garden feeding stations.
