Beckingham nr. Newark to Nocton Heath is 10 miles as the Black Kite flies....not a great distance to cover in c. 1 hour's flight?

True Freddy, did it go missing for any length of time ?

Looking at GPC's pics it does appear to be the Barton bird, makes you wonder where its been in the meantime ?

Bird again present this morning, 18th, perched on telegraph pole north of Ram farm from 08:45 to 09:35 when it flew round for a while before circling and gaining height and then flying off south. Had not returned when I left at 11:45.
Also seen in area:-
4 Buzzards
1 female Marsh Harrier
1 Hobby
1 Sparrowhawk
2 Kestrels
1 Curlew flew E
1 Yellow Wagtail
2 Corn Buntings singing.

I have now cycled over 2000 miles for my green list this year.
