I was with the group this morning but then went for a walk around up to the Triangle and in total saw 4 Brown Hairstreaks, my best ever. One nectaring at the Triangle (13:50), one on the White-letter elms (14:30) and another right above the bench at 5 Ways (15:30). After quite a few years of searching I was well chuffed to have finally photographed the little buggers close up and to have actually found some myself.

Two more seen today (Sunday 26th) along hedge near 5 Ways. Quite a few people visiting specifically for Brownies. Dave Wright found one at 11:30 which seems to be the optimum time for them this week. Another found about 13:30 which stuck around for hours but quite high in an ash and out of reach of all but the biggest lenses.
