Anybody know anything about a text i recieved concerning a american golden plover at butterwick hale?(was there one there)?news to me

The pager last night said it was between both East and West Butterwick and the M180 motorway ranging in fields on either side of the Trent.
I had a brief look this morning on the West Butterwick side on my way to work but no sign of bird or birders.
There have been small flocks of Goldies in the area for about a week now seen regularly in flight on my way home from work.

Met Mal,eventually found the bird,im 99% sure we had it,not having seen one before,but the bird seen had much greyer tone than any other and very distinct supercillium,was crouched down most of the time but did stand up briefly showed its underwing which did looked a darker grey tinged and in area where gpc had told mal,gpc just leaving when mal turned up,i arriving soon after,.
please note:I found a rubber attachment someone had dropped,circular tube with hole throu it and velcro strap,send me a private mssge if person from this site has lost one.
Roger.just been on surfbirds and upped it to 99 per cent as photos on there very much the same as bird we observed.thou,always nice to have someone there who has experience of that species!!!.

2 American Golden Plovers present at 14:30 hrs quite close to the road at East Butterwick North of the M180 bridge.

Well found JH, that makes up for not knowing that Melodious can have same leg colour as Iccy!

does anyone have the grid reference for the area please.

where are the photos? can't see any...

2???have they statred a quick breeding programme?so if no one wants my rubber attachment-i will dispose with it carefully!!!

... can anyone tell me when is the best time of day light conditions-wise, e.g. are you looking in to the sun in the morning or evening?
