A flock of c200 Fieldfare (with single figure Redwing) on farmland off Canwick Avenue this morning. It's the first time in the last six years that I have seen Fieldfare in such numbers in Bracebridge Heath.

Regards,

Freddy

Regarding fieldfare and redwing, we seem to have a lot on a daily basis in the garden here at Southrey, usually about 20+ fieldfare and 6+ redwing. Perhapes it's the mass of apples lying around. They don't stay long but stuff themselves while they are here. Lovely sight. Also regular visiters are the green woodpeckers digging in the grass, and G.S woodpecker on the fat balls. Regular flock of30+ tree sparrows every day and of course the sparrow hawk never far away. I suppose tree sparrows are normal in Lincs but we didn't get to see many in Hampshire when we lived there. :o
