West Halton: mid afternoon

Pink-footed Geese - 85 [going north]

Winterton Floods: late afternoon

No shortage of ducks and gulls, most birds I've seen there, must have been well over a thousand probably up to two.

Mallard, Shoveler, Pochard, Little and Great-crested Grebe, Tufties, Gadwall, LBB, Common and Black-headed...
Plus Ruddy Duck - 11, Teal - c200.

Normanby: late afternoon

Red-leg Partridge - 13

If the sun hadn't been in the west, and I'd had the patience of a saint, and it wasn't cold and windy, and I'd got the expertise of a very well known North Lincs birder [no not Dave Johnson  ], THEN I would have given the exact number complete with ages and what sex they were :!:

Don't worry Katherine, everyone knows what a twisted mind Dave has, especially anything to do with me, it's the only form of pleasure he gets.

If I have a "twisted mind" Max, then I am more than happy. I can assure you that I'd rather be me than YOU !!! (and thank god)
Up to 2 months back a splattered fox with much fur still intact lay alongside the A18 opposite the old YEB place.
I am so sorry I did'nt alert you ! What a wonderful record it would have been to add to your collection of splattered pheasants !!!

Dave

Could you find the right side of your bed, please? I don't know what's got into you lately, but all this sarcasm of late is getting out of hand.
