4 adult White-fronts and 1 Pink-foot still present on winter wheat field this afternoon but no Greylags. Birds very wary, flew off when helicopter went over but came back in after about 5 minutes.

First thing this morning I found the 4 White-fronted Geese had now joined the 200 Greylags in the field to the South of the Filter beds on Nocton Fen. Good views from the road.

Also seen:

1 Male Hen Harrier
20 Siskin
1 Brent Goose (unusually away from the coast)

From the road I had very good views of the 3 White-fronted Geese with the c200 Greylags in the field next to the Bardney Pits and alongside the River Witham (c11.30 - 12.00). The White-fronts kept to the fringes of the Greylag group. At c12.00 they all took off and flew over the bank to the pits.
Also seen:
incl.
c75 Fieldfare
4 Mistle Thrush
18 Red-legged Partridge
6 Common Snipe
7 Pheasant.

Regards,

Freddy
