Location: Swanpool, Lincoln
A 27 mile bike ride from Lincoln to Bardney, on the cycle track by the River Witham, and then on to Nocton Fen and back gave the following highlights:-
3 adult White-fronted Geese and 1 Pink-foot with c200 Greylags on winter wheat field by Bardney pits (my 190th green tick).
7 Goosanders on River Witham at Five mile bridge.
12 Redshank flew in to Bardney pits.
1 Barn Owl hunting by Bardney pits.
c400 Fieldfares, c35 Song Thrushes & c120 Blackbirds in hawthorns along cycle track.
1 male Bullfinch.
