I stopped to answer the call of nature in a field gateway on the back road between Ulceby and the A1104 Alford Road at 11:30 this morning. I was delighted to see a male Hen Harrier fly across the field west of this road at grid ref.TF418737. It was a bit distant and I didn't have my bins at hand in order to determine whether it was a 2nd-winter which was seen yesterday at Wainfleet All Saints.

A 2nd year male Hen Harrier and a Juv female have been hunting in the Friskney area of late.
