Post subject: Dean and his "vermin"
PostPosted: Mon Feb 04, 2008 10:31 pm
Dean, you labelled my cat, "vermin" on the photo gallery.
Did you know that the real "vermin" are loony twitchers, (trainspotters in feathers), who have been known to trample to death or to prevent some tiny, exhausted, wind blown rarity from feeding in order to survive, are the real vermin ???
They are VERMIN PAR EXCELLENCE as are the thugs with shot guns who blast Squirrels, Rabbits, Rats and Magpies to smitherines.
Its called ALIENATION FROM NATURE and its a cancer that leads to death.

Dave

As a birder who occasionally goes twitching, does that make me a loony as well? Most twitchers who go to see rare birds are very well behaved, and it is only the minority who do not behave and put the birds welfare first,so you should'nt really go and tar us all with the same brush,as i recall last year, you where twitching a certain bird at Greetwell crossroads, even though you could'nt see it,so that must make you a bigger loony? As for the cat,i have a cat and it has'nt killed a bird in it's life or any small mammals for that matter, but you can understand peoples reaction when they see a picture of a cat on a bird and wildlife forum,as they are responsible for so many bird and small mammal deaths in this country it is un-believable,so think on Dave before you act,and perhaps you would'nt get so much stick.

Having looked at the "offending" photograph and the other shots on that particular Forum there was only one that contained any birders or birds. I suggested that it should no longer be called "Birders and Birding in Lincolnshire" but re-named "Would you like to see the pretty pictures I can take with my camera that have nothing to do with birds or birders". I am standing by for the flak.

Does that include a picture of a flooded area known as Butterwick Hale?

Although it's hard to see them there were quite a few ducks on the far end of photo, even though it's not a good one. I took it to show how much water is there at present in case anyone wanted to visit.

Stephen,
I did NOT see anything resembling a "Stone Curlew" at that site last year. NOTHING resembling such a creature was visible to myself as I've already made CLEAR, NOTHING WHATSOEVER. Understand ? GOOD. Why should I need to repeat myself ?
If the scopes set up there were supposed to have been among the very best available, then why did each one give me the impression of gazing into the bottom of a mucky, bloody half inch thick jam jar Stephen !
I could not give a damn if your own feline has NEVER EVER killed a bird, badger, butterfly or bat ! Are you implying that it's more holier than mine ! For gods sake. You're making me laugh. All cats are instinctive killers. Yours is no exception.
Thank god that the picture gallery is nothing to do with the Lincs Bird Forum, otherwise we would be cancerated by nothing more than third rate snaps of poor, tired, emanciated rarities, some actually wearing silly little RINGS around their fragile legs !
You will have to accept and look forward to more POLITICALLY INCORRECT images from myself and others.
I have hundreds !!!
HUNDREDS

Stuart,
There are NO offending photographs on the forum gallery, merely OFFENSIVE people.

Shouldn't that be emaciated, and you can waffle all you like about your cat,it still has no place on this forum, perhaps you should join some other site, such as flickr to display your recent fine efforts, central park etc.
The bottom line, is this is supposed to be a forum for reporting birds and wildlife in Lincolnshire, and posting photo's of the same,so lets just keep it that way.
As for my cat been holier than yours, you seem to have missed the point i was expressing, the fact you have put a photo of a cat on a wildlife forum is going to get peoples backs up,now do you understand my point, after i have repeated myself.
