Ring-Necked Parakeet - 1
Nuthatch - pair showing signs of courtship behaviour.

Any one know if it is a 'wild' bird or a recent escapee?

Hi Bob,

There have been reports of RNP from Weelsby Woods for at least two years. A well known Lincs birder lives nearby and frequently has one flying over his garden - and my friend's mother backs onto the woods and has had one on her bird table!

Can still be surprisingly elusive though for such a colourful and noisy bird.

I was in a park near Biggin Hill last year, and although I could hear RNP's all round I only saw the one. They seem almost invisible when in a tree!

one been about humberstone fitties last three years!

One flew over my garden in Frampton in early January. I'd be very surprised if any of the Lincs records came from the feral populations in the south east. I think a local escape origin is much more likely. Still, a ticks a tick....

Nearly got the result right!

And I saw the RNP before the match. Only had to walk 100 yards from car along the edge and there it was. Thanks to the Blacbird that was trying to move it on, otherwise I may have missed it.

Had one flying up north sea lane last autumn from the fitties area also heard what i have thought was a parakeet sp several times in the humberston vicinity.

ps a local dog walker said he heard a cuckoo in the tetney area yesterday
my reply was i thought it early and have not heard on the grapevine of any in the country yet.
The last time i heard a cuckoo it was our new prime minister giving a speech.

Yes Max there is a bg car park, just watch for the four legged polluters
