Fieldwork for a proposed 'Flora of the Fens' will begin this year, with data collected at the 5km x 5km level. Much of the area in question is in Cambridgeshire and a little in Norfolk, but it also includes much of south-east Lincs and also the flat land of the Witham valley right up into Lincoln. The work is likely to take several years, with manpower the main constraint - are there any botanists out there who would like to volunteer to bash some squares?
