In the last week Oystercatchers have returned to the Lincoln area.

I have recorded 6 at Eagle Lane pits, 1 at Job's Lane pit and 2 at Boultham mere.

2 at West Ashby pits noted today where a pair have bred for the past few years on adjacent farmland. Also an inland Redshank on a flooded meadow nearby.

On a late afternoon visit to Tattershall Pits I saw 1 Oystercatcher and 3 Redshank; at Kirkby Pits there were 2 Oystercatchers and 1 Redshank, as well as over 20 Goldeneye, many displaying in the evening light. A Barn Owl drifted over the road as I left.
