While weeding in back garden a moth landed on garage next to me, odd shape it was, so fetched digi camera and took a few shots. Contacted Steve Routledge to find out what it was.

It was a Emmalina Monodactyla. Thanks Steve.

Not put a photo on album because I can't get it down to the required size without losing part of the moth. Not sure if I am doing something wrong.

When those of you who take shots of small creatures do you set the camera to take e-mail images or what. When I took the moth shots my camera was set at 5 million pixels. Maybe I should be doing something else. HELP! :?

Hi John
Its all about size really
You need to reduce the overall size of your picture/image rather than try to crop it. There is a limit to the size of the picture you can upload to most forum galleries/posts. I'm not sure what the criteria are for this forum but one of the mods will be able to give you guidance.
Cheers

While weeding the "meadow" a small moth landed next to me, I fetched camera and took a few shots.

According to Steve R it is a Many-plumed Moth, thanks.

If I can manage it I'll put it on album.

John

Had my first Heart and Dart outside back door, managed a decent shot of it.
