landed at 11.30am only to be disturbed by a landing mute swan one minute later. Flew off towards humber - photo in album tonight.

Your phalarope appears to have a very fine bill - suggestive of red-necked.
Do you have any other pictures of it?

only a couple but they are very similar - Both Russ and Dave B suggest its a red necked - first for me.
