grainthorpe haven trawling around the area, bumped into the lean mean plastering machine, had a giggle about trespassing and me seeing no one for years.
i had been viewing a tree sparrow flock, left dean and went to grainthorpe haven where it was all happening. I hope dean you stopped around to witness the following,

11/12 common buzzard 4 juvs including a very pale nearly white bird ( spooky )
4 marsh harriers 3 fem + juv
honey buzzard
2 sparrowhawks
4 kestrel
merlin
all the above were wheeling and fighting over the saltmarsh between the outfall and horseshoe point, as a result everything on the saltmarsh was consistantly being flushed.
birds flushed from the saltmarsh
6/7 greenshank
lots of redshank
100 + linnet
50 pied wags
SPOONBILL
7 little egret
lots curlew
2 flocks golden plover
200+ starling
small numbers swallows
flock lapwing, i could go on but i am sure you get the idea.
2 years i have been going down the haven and for long periods have seen very little then it all happens in a hectic 2 hour period.
the honey buzzard drifted of s/w towards covenham way at 13.30 hrs
SPOONBILL went back down the dykes to the left of the outfall halfway to the beach.
when i left around 15 00 hrs the buzzards were all still in the general area but over the farmland,
the harriers were still hunting the salt marsh between horseshoe point - pyes hall area
PHEW
quick visit to the fitties at humberston
2 dunlin
spot shank
2 knot
lots redshank
ruff

left around 16 00 hrs and went home to take a tablet and lay down for a bit

terry whalin :D :D  ps did you see them all deano ?
