Made the pilgrimage along with a number of Lincs birders to foreign lands (well...Yorkshire  ) for the 1st Brown Shrike on the UK mainland. The star bird was a cracking adult & showed well throughout most of the day to the throngs of twitchers - it even had a Red-backed Shrike in the same line of bushes for comparison.

3 Yellow-browed Warblers & a Red-breasted Flycatcher rounded off an enjoyable & productive day in warm, sunny weather.

Well done to the Flamborough locals for a well organised twitch which must have seen 1000+ birders descend on the area during the day. £600 had been raised for the local hospice - and that was only by early afternoon!

regards

Chris

If anybody else is going, I'm afrid I have no transport, like Katherine. If anybody is going in the next few days, I would be very grateful of a lift. Compensation may be paid, if I've sufficient funds.

Afraid there was no sign of the bird today Alastair so guess that it must have moved on.

If only twitches could be organised as efficiently in Lincolnshire.
