Sat Night as i left the house approx 9 pm,i noticed one then two red strange shaped lights in the sky, almost crossed shaped i notice they were moving north to south ,then one stopped then moved left a little then vanished, another appeared to its right and hung in the air before proceeding to do the same,my dad saw them too,i got the bins on them which resolved them to a single circular red objects.i came to the conclusion they may be those lantwerns which are sometimes seen, but wait one fine minute,i found out last night that my mate saw them the same night at 10.45 pm and another couple stopped their car to also look at them,so that rules out a floating object.
they were not helicopters or planes going into robin hood airport ,i know all those.-so what they were is open to conjecture, but the nearest thing ive seen to UFO"S.
ROG.

E-mail that observation to Peter Levy, Rog. You'll get a mention on his radio show if you say you know me!

So what you are now saying, Roger, is that in the Scunthorpe - MSQ area the chances of seeing UFOs and Goshawks are quite definite but as for Marsh Tits, 'No! Impossible'.
I can just picture the scene at MSQ next weekend........Along come Canadian Mike, Australian Mick and American Mac :
" Yo! Hebbs. Anything about?"
"Yeh, not bad, a few Ruff, a Common Sand, like near where we had the Green Heron a few years back, and a Goshawk plus a couple of those UFOs over the Car Park. Oh! and I met a complete nutter 5 minutes ago who claims he's just seen and heard Marsh Tit when we all know it was one of the MSQ Siskin sub-species giving its characteristic 'pitchoo' call".
Mind how you go, Roger.

Regards,

Freddy

And we forgot about that unbelievable sighting of the un-mentionable Yellow-nosed Albatross on the adjacent fishing lake. This area is very good at turning up rare birds,as for UFO's and "Pitchooing" Siskins iam not too sure. .

Had an unfortunate accident in the garden, tripping and falling on my right hand, fracturing it.I had surgery last Friday, where they basically pulled my fingers out of joint, fitted some nice little wires inside to hold my fingers in the place they used to be and put it all back together, hopefully in the right order.I have now got a really annoying pot on my hand for 2 weeks,so i would appreciate if know one will find anything too drastic until i can drive again. .

Steve(All sympathy gladly recieved and any gifts most welcome).

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Stephen. I'll need a rigourous means test from you, before a miserly gift is forthcoming!
