BTO Event - "Migrating Birds and the Spread of Diseases”
by Graham Appleton, British Trust for Ornithology

Interest in the spread of avian influenza has given new impetus to the study of migration. Graham will show how ringing data and survey information can contribute to bird flu early warning schemes and highlight other recent research into bird diseases.

This is an outdoor social event with an illustrated talk taking place in the barn. There will be time for wandering around the conservation area before the talk and ringing will take place earlier if conditions permit. Booking is necessary.
