Chambers Farm Wood x 2 ( 02 07 09 )
Nick Clayton and I had one White Admiral on the Main Track to Fiveways at Chambers Farm Wood this afternoon (Thu) - see photos in the Photo Album. I then had another on my way back along the Main track to the Visitor Centre.
Southrey Wood Main Ride x 19 ( 02 07 09 )
Later, I moved on to the Southrey Wood Main Ride opposite the RASE Distribution Centre on the B1190. There has been a super emergence there and I recorded no fewer than 19 in well under one hour.

Regards,

Freddy

Hi Nick,
As you say, the White Admiral was 'an obliging individual'. I would guess it flitted around us, virtually non-stop, for at least 15-20 minutes - settling on our boots and clothing half a dozen times or more and clearly finding us fascinating (obviously a female  ).
Congratulations on your photos - great!

Regards,

Freddy
