Hi Stephen,
Excellent numbers - especially of Small Heath and Grayling.
I know Santon Warren well from the Lincs Butterfly Group trips but I haven't visited Risby Warren yet. From Lincoln I suppose I would eventually turn off left from the B1207. Where is the best place to park, more or less near the main Grayling area?
Many thanks.

Regards,

Freddy

Hi Freddy the best way to get to Risby from Lincoln is to come down the A15 to the junction of the A15/A18 carrying straight on to Broughton past the Forest Pines hotel,go into Broughton taking your first left at the Dog and Rat pub(This road is the B1207),follow this road into Appleby village.Take you first left and follow the road for at least a mile(not sure the exact distance),until you come to a single track road on the left hand side,go down here and park at the bottom near the gate where you can,the parking is very limited. This is the entrance to the warren,it is a huge area and you are free to roam anywhere,as it is open access land, apart for the fenced off areas. The Grayling where not in any particular area,i saw them in all parts of the site.Good hunting. :D .

Regards

Steve.
