My area at the rear of my garden was overflowing with butterflies this afternoon. I sat down after a hard days work and it was a joy watching so much activity. i counted 100+ peacocks, on the buddleia, gravel, pond bridge, they was everywhere, i even had butterflies landing on my head.
Painted ladies 40+
Red admiral 5
Small tortoiseshell 4
Comma 4
Gatekeeper, 10 mostly on marjoram, get some marjoram john
Large white and small white, lots
While looking at the marjoram i found about 6 mint moths.
Also lots of bees and hoverflies.
All this between 3.30-5.00pm. then it started to rain. :(

Still no sign of Gatekeeper! In past years as I remember they rarely visit the Buddleia, have tended to drop on the window ledge and the grass, so not sure why they haven't put in an appearance, because I'm stuck at home I'm looking for them almost all day.
