I had an unfortunate discovery while travelling to work on Friday, finding an Otter which had been run over on the side of the M180 close to where Bottesford Beck goes under the road. This is the first time i have encountered this smashing animal in the county and would have liked to have done so in much better circumstances.I didn't take any photo's as i didn't have my camera with me,but it was most definately this species. What a shame,i look forward to seeing my first live one!!!

Regards

Steve

Please NOTE that dead otters should be reported to the EA asap 0845 988 1188.

They have a license to work with EPS, and arrange collection and postmortem of dead otter as part of an ongoing research program.
